What is atopic dermatitis?

Atopic dermatitis, also called atopic dermatitis Genetic atopic dermatitis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease associated with genetic allergic qualities, manifesting pruritus, polymorphic lesions with a tendency to exude, and often associated with asthma, allergic rhinitis. The allergic implication is that there is often a familial predisposition to asthma, allergic rhinitis, eczema; allergy to xenobiotics; elevated serum IgE levels; and peripheral blood eosinophilia. The etiology is closely related to genetic, immune disorders, and environmental factors. It is generally believed that it may be the result of genetic and environmental factors interacting and mediated through immune pathways.
