The purpose of the review after circumcision is to check the wound healing, whether there is local scar formation, local adhesions, lymphogenic edema, etc. The review should be done 1 month after the surgery. It is also necessary to further inquire whether the patient’s urination and erectile status are normal. No special examination is required, only a local physical examination by the surgeon is needed. If no abnormalities are observed, the patient can go home without any further treatment. However, some patients are scarred and may form a large local scar 1 month after surgery, which can lead to local pain, stenosis or pain and curvature during erection, and require scar removal treatment again. A small number of patients may have edema caused by poor circulation of local lymphatic fluid, which can be treated with oral medication or local saline topical application. There may also be local adhesions, and if the adhesions are serious, secondary separation may be required. If there is no abnormality, there is no need to review it in the future, as it is a normal healing condition.
