The more common cause of yellowish face in liver cancer in clinic may be related to is jaundice. Due to tumor compression and decreased liver function, bilirubin discharge in liver is impaired, and bilirubin is absorbed into blood through liver blood vessels, resulting in yellowing of mucous membrane and skin all over the body. Slightly ill patients show yellowing of eye sclera, and seriously ill patients show yellowing of skin of the whole body. Jaundice is a contraindication to liver cancer surgery, which can be treated with medication to reduce yellowing, liver preservation and best nutritional support. The appearance of jaundice means that liver function is seriously reduced and attention should be paid to prevent hepatic encephalopathy because liver is a metabolizing organ in human body, and destruction of liver will cause ammonia metabolism abnormality in the body, which will lead to abnormal manifestation of central nervous system. Liver cancer patients with yellowish face should go to the hospital as soon as possible, and standardize the treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
