What’s wrong with peeling fingertips?

Fingertip peeling may be related to physiological factors such as dry climate, and may also be caused by diseases such as ringworm, herpes and exfoliative keratolysis.
1. physiological factors: dry climate and other physiological factors may trigger skin dehydration, which triggered fingertip peeling.
2. Ringworm: the cause of ringworm is mostly related to dermatophyte infection of the skin, commonly found in the genus Trichophyton rubrum and Serratia epidermidis. The main manifestation of the palm or fingers hyperkeratotic lesions, such as flaking, dry and other symptoms.
3. Sweat herpes: the etiology of sweat herpes may be related to local allergy, dermatophyte infection, mental and other factors. The clinical manifestation is the appearance of intensely itchy deep-seated blisters on the hands or feet. The blisters will be self-absorbed, and peeling of the skin will occur after drying.
4. Exfoliative Keratolysis: The cause of this disease is not yet clear, and it may be caused by factors such as emotion, excessive sweating and ringworm rash. The patient’s skin will have repeated episodes of scaling and peeling, mostly on the hands and feet.
There are many causes of fingertip peeling, and after excluding physiological factors, patients are advised to seek medical examination to clarify the cause.
