Women’s stomach pain during menstruation may be related to physiological reasons such as the secretion of prostaglandin hormones, or pathological reasons such as adenomyosis, endometritis, endometriosis, etc., which need to be analyzed specifically.
1. Physiological reasons: during menstruation, the synthesis and release of prostaglandins increase, stimulating excessive contraction of the uterine muscles, resulting in pain, and increased levels of angiotensin and oxytocin, exacerbating the symptoms of stomach pain.
2. Adenomyosis: the ectopic endometrium enters into the myometrium, and the endometrium will be shed during menstruation, which will cause swelling and pain in the myometrium, and the symptom of stomach pain when menstruation occurs.
3. Endometritis: due to inflammatory stimulation, the endometrium is overly thickened, preventing the normal degeneration and necrosis of the tissues, stimulating excessive spasmodic contraction of the uterus, leading to symptoms of stomach pain.
4. Endometriosis: it is a common gynecological disease caused by active endometrial tissue, which grows outside the endometrium and myometrium and bleeds cyclically. 60% to 70% of patients with this disease have dysmenorrhea, which is often secondary with progressive aggravation.
There may be other reasons for women’s stomach pain when menstruation comes, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for examination and treatment after clarifying the cause of the pain.
