Human contact with the feces of infected dogs and cats or consumption of meat from infected animals can lead to larval infestation. Symptoms of schizothoracic larvae are related to where the schizothoracic larvae are parasitized. The larvae can parasitize the eyes, the subcutaneous limbs, the mouth, and the internal organs, and the patient may experience symptoms such as redness and swelling of the eyelids, subcutaneous nodules, mucosal nodules, and hemoptysis.
1. Parasitized in the eyes: patients may have symptoms such as redness and swelling of the eyelids, photophobia, tearing, insect crawling sensation in the eyes, and protruding eyeballs.
2. Parasitized in the subcutaneous limbs: round or oval nodules or lumps of soybean size can be seen in the skin of the limbs.
3. Parasitized in the oral cavity: the oral cavity may appear subcutaneous mucous membrane hard nodules, redness, swelling, itching and other symptoms.
4. Parasitized in internal organs: Parasitized in the respiratory tract may appear hemoptysis, parasitized in the urinary tract may cause frequent urination, urinary urgency, painful urination and other symptoms.
When the patient appears above symptoms need to go to the local hospital as soon as possible, clear diagnosis, early treatment, to prevent delays in the condition.
