Functional Gastrointestinal Disease

  Functional gastrointestinal disorders, also called gastrointestinal dysfunction, or gastrointestinal neurosis, is a general term for a group of gastrointestinal syndromes, with gastrointestinal tract motility disorders as the main cause, and must be diagnosed only after examination to exclude organic causes. The main manifestations of functional gastrointestinal disorders are upper gastrointestinal discomfort, pain, abdominal distension, eructation, nausea, vomiting, etc.; lower gastrointestinal symptoms, such as abdominal discomfort, poor defecation, constipation, diarrhea, and increased exhaustion.
