How acute cholecystitis is caused

How does acute cholecystitis develop? Acute cholecystitis is often caused by blockage of the gallbladder duct and bacterial invasion. The disease is mostly caused by the change of bile composition in the gallbladder to form stones, which then lead to bile stasis and secondary bacterial infection, and finally the organism’s resistance decreases to show acute inflammation of the gallbladder. Once a small stone is embedded in the neck of the gallbladder, it can cause acute obstruction of the cystic duct, the pressure in the cystic duct rises significantly, the bile cannot be discharged through the cystic duct, the gallbladder contraction increases and induces biliary colic, if the gallbladder stone is not lifted in time, it can cause the gallbladder to increase in size, with fluid around the gallbladder, if combined with infection can develop into acute purulent cholecystitis Even acute gangrenous cholecystitis. The most common bacteria that cause acute cholecystitis is Escherichia coli (up to 70%). 3, other causes in addition, long-term parenteral nutrition, fasting, women during pregnancy, gallbladder wall blood supply disorders, etc. can cause gallbladder dilation, bile stasis and induce acute cholecystitis.
