When alanine aminotransferase is 90U/L, which is more than 2 times of the normal value, it may be related to viral hepatitis, liver cancer, drug-induced hepatitis and other causes.
1. Viral hepatitis: it can damage the liver cells and lead to the release of alanine aminotransferase into the blood, causing the index to rise. It can be treated by antiviral treatment with drugs such as lamivudine and entecavir.
2. Hepatocellular carcinoma: Hepatocellular carcinoma can also damage liver cells and cause the index to rise. It can be treated by hepatectomy or hepatic artery embolization.
3. Drug-induced hepatitis: certain drugs may cause liver damage, resulting in elevated markers. It can usually be recovered after stopping the drugs, or can be treated with additional drugs such as N-acetylcysteine and ursodeoxycholic acid when the situation is serious.
The normal range of alanine aminotransferase is 0~40U/L. More than two times of the normal value should go to the hospital in time to improve the relevant examination, clarify the cause of the disease, and carry out the treatment under the guidance of the doctor to avoid unauthorized use of drugs.
