The causes of a large protruding stomach are physiologic and pathologic. Physiological causes include overeating and late pregnancy; pathological causes include gastric tumor, pyloric obstruction, large amount of ascites, dyspepsia and so on.
1. Physiological causes: the stomach has a certain ductility, such as eating too much can lead to gastric dilatation and protrusion; due to the increase of the abdominal cavity in the middle and late stages of pregnancy, the stomach can be squeezed and protruded.
2. Pathological causes: such as stomach tumors, with the increase in tumor volume can lead to gastric protrusion; such as pyloric obstruction, due to the stomach can not be emptied in time can lead to compensatory enlargement of the protrusion; such as a large number of ascites, the abdominal cavity pressure can be squeezed to increase gastric protrusion; such as dyspepsia, gastrointestinal peristalsis can lead to gastric emptying slow down, appearing protruding changes.
For the case of protruding stomach, it is recommended to consult a doctor to clarify the cause.
