What to do if you’re over 30 and have funnel chest

Having funnel chest in your 30s should be treated differently depending on the severity of the condition. If you have a mild funnel chest in your 30s, consider conservative treatment; if you have a funnel chest in your 30s that is compressing your heart or (and) lungs, consider surgery.
1. Conservative treatment: If there is a slight funnel chest in the 30s, i.e., there is no significant compression of the heart or lungs, and there are no associated clinical symptoms, conservative observation is considered.
2. Surgical treatment: If the funnel chest in the 30s has compressed the heart or (and) lungs, and there is shortness of breath, panic, or even angina pectoris, myocardial ischemia, arrhythmia, etc., then it is necessary to positively consider surgical treatments, such as the traditional open surgery and the Nuss procedure.
It is recommended that the patient should consult the doctor in time, and the doctor should consider the treatment plan with the actual condition, please follow the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
