Vocal cysts are benign lesions, and their occurrence is mainly related to physical factors such as inflammation and localized overuse of the voice. The process of their development has its own regularity and they usually do not disappear on their own, and in rare cases, they may rupture suddenly. However, this possibility is less likely to happen in the pharynx, especially in the vocal cord area, because the wall of the cyst is thicker and accompanied by more obvious ligaments, which is not easy to rupture the whole body, so the possibility of its disappearing by itself is very low. Most cases require surgery or other intervention.
