Tinea corporis, medically known as ringworm, presents as flaky red patches with a slightly receding center and raised, relatively well-defined edges that can be covered with fine scales and are accompanied by itching. It can also be painful if it is chapped or broken. For the treatment of ringworm, antifungal treatment is required. Before treatment, fungal tests need to be performed, and if the microscopy is positive, it can be clarified, and topical terbinafine hydrochloride ointment, clotrimazole ointment, naftifine ketoconazole ointment, and luliconazole ointment can be applied. If the condition is more serious, the area is larger, fused into large plaques or flakes, you can also take oral itraconazole capsules or terbinafine hydrochloride tablets for treatment.
