Under-eye bags are banded complexes formed by long-term bulging of lower lid fat or loose orbicularis oculi muscle and sagging skin. Internal eye bag removal is performed by making a 3-4mm incision in the conjunctival sac of the inner eyelid to remove excess fat from the orbit and achieve a flat eye bag. The procedure requires no sutures and no stitch removal and is suitable for young people with no skin laxity or older people with good skin elasticity and only fat bulging, and has the advantages of minimal tissue damage, quick recovery time and no scar growth. Usually, the swelling can be reduced in about 1 week after the internal eye bag removal surgery, and can return to normal in 2 weeks. During the recovery period, patients can wash their faces, but they should not rub the eye bags with force. For special cases such as postoperative infection, scar body, poor postoperative diet, etc., the recovery time may be extended accordingly. In addition, if bruising of the eyes occurs after internal eye bag removal surgery, ice compress can be applied within 48 hours and hot compress after 3 days to promote the absorption of bruising, or oral medication can be taken to promote the dissipation of bruising. Female patients need to avoid menstrual period for the procedure to avoid increasing bleeding. Some patients may have a little gritty sensation in the eyes and easy tearing, which is usually normal.
