How to prevent worm disease

Entamoeba is a disease in which the human body is infected by the eggs of tapeworms in dogs. Tapeworms live in the small intestine of carnivores such as dogs, and at some point they lay eggs, which are dispersed with dog feces into the environment where people live. This makes it easy to get the eggs on people’s hands, clothes and daily necessities, and also through dog hair, wool, hay, water and other things that have contact with people. If a person accidentally eats the eggs, the eggs will hatch in the small intestine, pass through the intestinal wall, reach all the organs of the body (mainly the liver and lungs) with the blood circulation, and slowly grow into a bag-like lump filled with water-like liquid, and some of the cysts can grow to tens of pounds and compress the organs. If the cysts rupture, it will cause very serious consequences, even life-threatening. The main symptoms of this disease are stuffy discomfort in the right upper abdomen, pain in the liver area, impaired liver function and some gastrointestinal symptoms. The parasitic lung can cause cough, chest pain and other lung symptoms. If the above symptoms appear, you should go to hospital for examination and treatment as soon as possible. Prevention should pay attention to personal hygiene and protection, develop a good habit of washing hands before meals, and wash fruits and vegetables; avoid close contact with dogs in endemic areas, and check whether tapeworms are parasitic in dogs if possible.
