Malignant syndrome is a serious complication caused by antipsychotic drugs, often manifesting as marked extrapyramidal reactions, usually with strong muscle tremors, difficulty swallowing, and most notably some profuse sweating, some markedly increased secretion, and elevated body temperature. Patients often have problems with consciousness, with hyposmia, muteness, sometimes lethargy or even coma, and in severe cases, death. There may be no special medication for treatment, antipsychotic drugs should be stopped, muscle relaxants should be given, and the main thing is massive rehydration and symptomatic treatment to see if the blood pressure is stable, if the water-electrolyte balance should be corrected, and if some physical cooling should be done. Anyway, no matter what, if this situation is to resuscitate, certainly also very important, may have to consult, report to higher doctors and other aspects of support, discontinuation of drugs is certainly needed.
