There is no such thing as RNA replicase, there are only two kinds of enzymes in medicine, RNA polymerase and RNA synthetase.
1. RNA synthesis guided by DNA, the template for synthesis is a strand of DNA, this type of synthesis is also known as transcription, is the main pathway for organisms to synthesize RNA, the enzyme required is RNA polymerase, a DNA-dependent RNA polymerase.
2. RNA synthesis can also be RNA as a template, the required RNA polymerase is RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, which may be the often misunderstood RNA replicase.
Both RNA-dependent RNA polymerase and DNA-dependent polymerase are enzymes required for the synthesis of RNA, but the two synthesis pathways are different.
