It is very suitable to apply cold compress on the day of treatment, within 3 days after surgery, the local stimulation of the wound is still in reaction, at this time, cold compress can make the surgery site vascular contraction in cold, reduce bleeding, and play a good role in the recovery, and it is suitable for any traumatic wound. Cold compress method: In the hospital there is a special cold compress bag, generally at home you can also put bags of milk or yogurt into the refrigerator after freezing, the outer layer wrapped in clean gauze or sterile towel, placed with the surgical site. However, care must be taken not to press too hard, especially for some shaping procedures. Special attention should be paid to the following: if the ice pack is broken and flowing, it should not be used again, try to reach the sterile level, and the wound dressing needs to be changed in time to avoid infection. Hot compress – 4 days after surgery: Hot compress can make the body surface temperature rise, subcutaneous tissue stretching, spasm of capillary relaxation, expansion, blood flow accelerated, metabolism flourished, promote the lesion site tissue blood, siltation, muscle, anti-inflammatory, swelling, pain and scar tissue softening. Hot compress method: (1) hot water bag method: belongs to a dry heat compress method. First check the hot water bag has no gas leakage, and then the hot water (preferably 60 ℃ ~ 70 ℃) to 2/3 of the bag capacity, discharge the gas, tighten the bag mouth, dry the water outside the bag, installed in the cloth sleeve or wrapped in cloth to be used. In general, each hot compress 20 ~ 30 minutes, 3 ~ 4 times a day. If there is no hot water bag, you can also use a warming pot (wrapped in a towel) hot compress, can also be used to fry hot salt or rice into the cloth bag instead. (2) wet heat compress method: dressing cloth available gauze or towel made. First dip the dressing cloth in a basin of hot water, take out and wring to half dry, use the palm side of your wrist to test whether the temperature is appropriate (must not be hot to dress the affected part), dressing cloth covered with cotton pad to avoid heat dissipation, about every 5 minutes to change 1 dressing cloth. Two dressings should be prepared and the skin color should be observed when changing. Each time 15-20 minutes, 3-4 times a day. Caution: Pay attention to the towel and hot water bag must not be too hot to avoid burns. Extra care should be taken for patients with nerve damage and local numbness in the wound.
