What’s wrong with a lump on my neck?

The entire cervical spine is very large, and there are many possibilities for lesions to develop if a mass exists. The presence of a mass on the posterior side of the cervical spine is commonly caused by protrusion of the existing seventh cervical spine spine due to prolonged head bowing, or by lesions in the subcutaneous tissues such as powdery tumors, lipomas, and sebaceous cysts. If the lymph nodes are swollen on the anterior side of the cervical vertebrae or even close to the jaw, it is possible that the lymph nodes are swollen due to simple inflammation in the surrounding area. If a lump is visible to the touch in the area near the laryngeal nodes, it may be a thyroid nodule or even thyroid cancer. Therefore, if there is a lump and there is some pain, it is best to go to the orthopedic department of the hospital for a corresponding examination to rule out the corresponding lesion and, if necessary, to have it removed surgically.
