A nodule at 7 o’clock in the right breast should be followed by imaging and pathologic examination to determine the nature of the nodule before choosing follow-up, medication, or surgical excision.
The right breast nodule should be classified by BI-RADS (Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System) after ultrasonography, mammography, and other imaging tests. Generally, nodules in category 1 to 2 are benign, while those in category 3 are more likely to be benign and only require regular follow-up. In case of breast hyperplasia, mastitis or other diseases with uncomfortable symptoms, tamoxifen can be taken for symptomatic treatment, penicillin can be taken to fight infection.
For BI-RADS 4~5, there is a 2~100% chance of malignancy, and puncture biopsy is needed to further define the nature of the nodule. If the nodule is benign, such as cysts, fibromas, etc., the lump is small and can be followed up, and the lump is large and can be surgically removed.
The 4~5 type biopsy is malignant or the 6 type of nodule is mostly breast cancer or breast sarcoma and other malignant tumors, which need to be combined with the tumor stage, immunohistochemistry results, etc. to carry out surgery as well as radiotherapy, chemotherapy, endocrine and other comprehensive treatment.
It is recommended that those who have breast nodules should consult the doctor for further examination or treatment, and the medication should be applied under the doctor’s guidance.
