The age of menopause in adenomyosis is the same as that of normal women. The clinical features of adenomyosis are due to ectopic endometriosis into the myometrium, resulting in a slight increase in the size of the uterus, which causes progressive worsening of abdominal pain during the menstrual period, and increased menstrual blood flow, longer menstrual periods, and incessant menstruation caused by the increase in the size of the uterus. Adenomyosis is a lesion of uterine volume, but the ovaries function normally, the ovaries can ovulate normally, there are cyclic changes, and normal ovarian function can maintain a normal menstrual cycle. The age of menopause is affected by ovarian function, which may be related to individual circumstances, genetic factors or some other conditions affecting ovarian function, and the decline of ovarian function will cause the manifestation of menopause, so the age of menopause in patients with adenomyosis is similar to the age of menopause in normal women.
