According to TCM, white greasy moss is mostly caused by phlegm (a pathological product of impaired metabolism of water and fluid) and food accumulation (the accumulation of food in the stomach due to poor digestion). Phlegm can be treated with Ling Gui Zhu Gan Tang and food accumulation can be treated with Bao He Wan. 1. Ling Gui Zhu Gan Tang is composed of Poria, Gui Zhi, Atractylodes Macrocephalae and Glycyrrhiza Uralensis, with the effects of warming yang and resolving phlegm-drinking (warming yang qi in the body to promote the metabolism of water and liquid), strengthening the spleen and inducing dampness, and is mainly used in treating phlegm-drinking caused by insufficient yang in the middle of the body such as fullness in the chest, dizziness and palpitation, shortness of breath and coughing with a whitish coating on the tongue. 2. Baohe Pill: composed of Jiaoshanzha, Jiaoshenqu, fried malt and other medicines, it has the efficacy of eliminating food stagnation (promoting food digestion) and harmonizing the stomach, and is used for treating stagnation of food accumulation, fullness in the epigastrium (abdomen), belching and swallowing of acid (burping with foul smell and acidic water in the mouth), and lack of desire for food and drink, etc. If white greasy moss appears, it should be treated promptly. If there is white greasy moss, you should go to the regular hospital in time, do not take medication on your own, so as not to delay the condition.
