An exceptionally bright 4 1/2 year old is defined as having a high intelligence IQ. It can be tested by the Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence (WPPSI), and is also evident in strong learning and concentration. 1. Strong learner: 4.5 year olds can recognize words and learn them quickly, or may be able to use strokes to analyze glyphs and write. Alternatively, they may have case recognition skills and may be able to describe verbs + nouns in pictures. 2. Strong Concentration: 4 ½ year olds can concentrate on one thing for a longer period of time and are more mentally focused. The developmental indicators of the child’s intellectual IQ can be concluded by visiting the Child Health Unit and completing the Wechsler Intelligence Scale as prescribed by the doctor.
