Five ling powder efficacy and effect

Wu Ling San has the efficacy of warming yang and transforming qi (warming and promoting yang qi in the body), inducing dampness and promoting the flow of water, and is used in the treatment of oedema and dysuria (unruly urination). Wu Ling San is composed of poria, poria, zelia, gui zhi and atractylodes, which has the effects of warming yang and transforming qi, inducing dampness and promoting the flow of water. In the formula, ze diarrhea, poria, poria diaphragm promote drainage and seepage of dampness (promoting the movement of water to dispel dampness). Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae tonifies Qi and strengthens the spleen to transport water-dampness. Gui Zhi warms Yang and transforms Qi to help promote diuresis, and is pungent and warm in dispersal to dispel superficial evils (evils on the surface of the muscles). Wu Ling San is used for edema caused by Yang’s failure to transform Qi (blockage of the body’s Qi) and internal retention of water-dampness (water-dampness stays in the body), with symptoms such as dysuria, edema and abdominal distension, vomiting and diarrhea, and thirst. Adverse effects and contraindications of Wu Ling San are not clear.
