Targeted therapy can survive for several years

The survival time of patients after targeted therapy is related to the type of disease, pathological stage, treatment response, the degree of disease impact on major organs and the patient’s personal physical quality, etc. Some patients can survive 1-2 years, and some patients can survive with cancer for a long time. Targeted therapy for cancer, mainly for patients with advanced cancer that cannot be operated, can be carried out when there are sensitive mutations after genetic testing, which can prolong the survival time of advanced cancer patients and reserve time for other treatments. For example, in advanced cancer patients of digestive system, some of the expected survival time may be 3-6 months, and when targeted therapy and other treatments are supplemented, they can survive 1-2 years; while in cancer patients of hematological system, targeted therapy is more effective and can survive with cancer for a long time, and some of them can wait for suitable bone marrow and be cured after transplantation. Some patients may be completely cured after targeted therapy. Patients should keep a positive attitude and not give up every chance of treatment.
