Diabetic foot is a condition in which the lower extremity of a diabetic patient is infected, ulcerated and/or damaged due to a combination of neuropathy and various degrees of peripheral vasculopathy. It contains three lesion factors, namely vascular factors, neurological factors and infectious factors, and the clinical manifestations often focus on one aspect, so the clinical diagnosis has many names, such as diabetic lower limb vasculopathy, diabetic arteriosclerosis occlusive disease, diabetic peripheral neuropathy, diabetic gangrene, etc., which are actually all classified as diabetic foot.
