What is vestibular migraine?

v A. At least 5 episodes meeting diagnostic criteria C and D. Zhu Kaiyun, Department of Neurology, Panyu District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Guangzhou, China v B. Current or previous history of migraine with or without aura or migraine with aura. v C. Moderate or severe vestibular symptoms lasting 5 minutes to 72 hours. v D. At least half of the episodes are accompanied by headache with one of the following migraine features. v 1. Headache with at least two of the following four features v       a. Lateral site v b. Pulsatile v c. Moderate or moderate pain v d. Daily physical activity exacerbates the headache v 2. Photophobia and phonophobia 3. Visual aura E. Cannot be explained by other headache types in ICHD-3 beta or by another vestibular disorder. By vestibular symptoms we mean spontaneous vertigo, positional vertigo following a change in head position, visually induced vertigo, vertigo induced during head movement, and dizziness with nausea induced by head movement.
