The main symptoms of fungal rhinitis are nasal congestion, headache, and frequent formation of yellow or black cheese-like secretions inside the nasal cavity, sometimes with edematous exudates. It is advisable for the patient to go to the hospital for further examination to clarify the diagnosis and then treat the symptoms. Most fungal rhinitis may be combined with fungal sinusitis, which often requires surgery for complete cleanup. After surgery, repeated rinsing of the nasal cavity with fluconazole solution is needed to effectively inhibit the growth of the fungus. It is recommended that patients be carefully examined for systemic diseases, such as diabetes or autoimmune system diseases. Patients must exercise more in life to enhance their resistance to avoid the formation of fungal rhinitis.
