What happens when you eat preservatives

Preservatives are mainly chemically synthesized. If you accidentally eat preservatives, the first thing that will be affected is the esophagus and digestive tract, which will cause damage to the mucous membrane of the esophagus and digestive tract, resulting in local pain, such as pain in the throat, esophagus and abdomen, diarrhea or nausea, vomiting, etc. If the mucous membrane is severely damaged, it may also cause bleeding in the digestive tract, resulting in vomiting of blood or black stool. More serious cases may lead to perforation of the digestive tract and acute peritonitis resulting in abdominal pressure pain, rebound pain, and abdominal muscle tension. If the preservative is inhaled into the bloodstream through the mucous membrane of the digestive tract and invades all organs of the body, it may cause dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting or life-threatening conditions such as coma.
