An itchy nose doesn’t necessarily mean you have mites. Mites can cause an itchy nose, but they are not the only factor that causes itchy nose.
Mites usually live in hair follicles and sebaceous glands, and both sides of the nose are rich in sebaceous glands, hair follicles and sweat glands, so mites around the nose are more likely to cause folliculitis as well as lead to skin allergies, which can lead to an itchy nose, usually accompanied by erythema and pimples.
Although mites can cause itchy nose, there are other causes of itchy nose. If the skin on the outside of the nose is itchy without a rash, it may be a localized irritation; if the nose is itchy with greasy erythema and the number of mites on microscopic examination does not reach a positive diagnostic value, it may be a dermatological disorder such as seborrheic dermatitis.
You cannot simply say that an itchy nose is caused by mites, but mites are only one of the many factors that can cause an itchy nose. It is recommended that patients with itchy noses should go to the hospital in time to get a clear diagnosis, and then under the guidance of the doctor to treat the symptoms.
