What to do when liver cancer turns into lung cancer in the middle and late stages

Liver cancer metastasized to lung cancer is already in advanced stage, and the treatment is based on targeted therapy, which can effectively improve the quality of patients’ survival as well as effectively kill tumor cells and prevent further metastasis. Patients with liver cancer combined with lung metastasis are in advanced stage. According to some studies, lung is the most common organ for extrahepatic metastasis, accounting for 67.3% of all extrahepatic metastases. There is currently no international standardized treatment for liver cancer combined with extrahepatic metastasis. Targeted therapeutic agents such as sorafenib are still the first-line molecular targeted drugs for the treatment of advanced liver cancer (including liver cancer combined with extrahepatic metastasis). These drugs can effectively inhibit the formation of neovascularization caused by tumor and inhibit the proliferation and growth of cancer cells. In addition, some patients may also be treated with surgery combined with chemotherapy/targeted therapy, interventional therapy (TACE, etc.) combined with targeted therapy, and immunotherapy (PD1 monoclonal antibody drugs). Surgical resection can also be used for isolated lung metastases. It is suggested that patients with advanced liver cancer should go to regular hospitals to evaluate their conditions and follow the doctor’s instructions to actively cooperate with the treatment in order to improve the quality of life and prolong the survival period. Drug treatment should be carried out under the guidance of professional doctors, do not use drugs by yourself.
