The left supraclavicular fossa lymph node has become enlarged, a condition that needs to be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
The first thing to consider is an enlarged supraclavicular fossa lymph node caused by lymphatic reflux from the lung and gastrointestinal tract. The more common ones are lung cancer and gastric cancer. When these malignant tumors develop to a certain extent, they can cause the cancer cells to spread and metastasize, and then it is easy to cause enlarged supraclavicular fossa lymph nodes on the left side.
Secondly, it can be caused by simple inflammation of the lymph nodes, such as laryngitis, acute otitis media, and other inflammatory diseases.
Patients with swollen lymph nodes are advised to pay close attention to physical changes and to seek medical attention at the first sign of discomfort, and to improve CT examinations of the lungs and ultrasound of the abdomen to detect malignancy. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, prompt and active treatment must be carried out. If the lymph nodes are simply inflamed, then the patient need not worry too much and can take oral anti-inflammatory drugs, such as amoxicillin capsules, metronidazole tablets, etc. Don’t eat spicy and stimulating foods in your daily life, and just follow up regularly.
