Allergic rhinitis, also known as allergic rhinitis, is a common and prevalent disease in otolaryngology, characterized by nasal itching, paroxysmal sneezing, profuse watery nasal discharge and nasal congestion. Although allergic rhinitis is not a major disease, it has a great impact on patients’ health, quality of life and social communication, and can lead to various complications (such as sinusitis, nasal polyps, otitis media, asthma, etc.), especially affecting the study and life of adolescents. According to the theory of “unity of heaven and man” and “nourishing yang in spring and summer, nourishing yin in autumn and winter”, our department treats allergic rhinitis with acupuncture point compresses while the yang energy is in full swing in summer, so as to eradicate the disease for patients with allergic rhinitis. The time and treatment schedule of winter and summer treatment and acupuncture point dressing in our department this year and precautions: 1. Treatment time: First treatment: June 21 (summer solstice) Second treatment: July 8 (before the volcano) Third treatment: July 18 (early volcano) Fourth treatment: July 28 (middle volcano) Fifth treatment: August 7 (last volcano) Each treatment time should be separated by more than one week.
2, acupuncture point dressing precautions: acupuncture point dressing adults each paste 6-8 hours, children generally paste 2-4 hours, if the dressing local skin itching, burning uncomfortable, should promptly remove the adhesive tape and drug gauze.
If itching, blistering or even ulceration occurs at the patch, the therapeutic effect is most meaningful, but do not scratch, protect the affected area and come to the hospital for consultation and treatment in time to avoid infection and pus.
Avoid strenuous activities after applying the patch, and prevent children from scratching off the drug or breaking the skin after applying the patch.
Do not drink cold drinks on the day after applying the patch, and do not go in and out of air-conditioned rooms.
Pregnant patients, diabetic patients, patients with tuberculosis, patients with local skin damage, and patients with allergy to drugs are not suitable for compressing therapy.
