In the late stage of liver cirrhosis, there are mainly two types of symptoms: decompensation of liver function and portal hypertension, such as ascites, spider nevus, liver palm and so on. 1. Decreased liver function: some patients may suffer from poor digestion and absorption such as loss of appetite, nausea, abdominal distension, and malnutrition such as emaciation, weakness, and lack of spirit. Patients with late stage of liver cirrhosis are also prone to yellow staining of skin and sclera, deep color of urine, spider nevus, liver palms, etc., which may be accompanied by bleeding of skin and mucous membranes, anemia and so on. In addition to the above symptoms, patients with advanced cirrhosis are also prone to endocrine disorders. When the metabolism of sex hormone is abnormal, men show decreased libido, testicular atrophy, hair loss, etc., while women show menstrual disorders, amenorrhea, infertility, etc. Those with abnormal adrenocortical function will have the face of liver disease. 2. Portal hypertension: patients mainly manifest symptoms such as bleeding from esophagogastric fundus varices, abdominal effusion, splenomegaly, hypersplenism, and positive mobile turbid tone.
