Clozapine and risperidone are generally combinable. Clozapine and risperidone are both medications for the treatment of psychosis, and it is generally recommended that they be used as monotherapy, and then considered in combination when they are not effective. If you want to use them together you need to be instructed by a doctor. Clozapine and risperidone together are not only effective for positive symptoms of psychosis, but also for negative symptoms. Clozapine is used for schizophrenia, especially refractory schizophrenia that is not well treated with traditional medications. Side effects commonly include dizziness, weakness, drowsiness, and excessive salivation. Avoid driving, operating machinery or working at heights while on the drug to avoid accidents. Risperidone is used to treat acute and chronic schizophrenia as well as a variety of other psychotic states with significant positive symptoms. Adverse reactions such as anxiety, agitation, headache and dry mouth are common after administration. It is contraindicated in patients who are allergic to the components of the product and in children under 15 years of age. Clozapine combined with risperidone is recommended to be taken under the supervision of a doctor, and should not be used blindly on its own to avoid medication risks.
