The luminal intervention is the insertion of a catheter into the male urethra and the injection of drugs into the catheter or the placement of a probe that can emit ultrasound and electromagnetic substances to provide some local physical therapy, but there are no clear indications for this type of treatment in the Chinese urology community. The luminal intervention will turn the male urethra into an open one, which will increase the infection rate of local bacteria and pathogens, and even induce prostatitis and inflammation of the reproductive system.
