Adrenal surgery takes about 1-3 hours, depending on the difficulty of the surgery. If it is an easy adrenal surgery, i.e. a single adrenal tumor and no previous lumbar surgery and no serious adhesions, the surgery time is shorter and takes about 1 hour. The current method of adrenal surgery is retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery. If the adrenal tumor is large or multiple tumors, the surgery will take longer, maybe 2-3 hours.
