Enlarged scrotum after varicocele surgery is recommended to rest in bed and to ask the competent doctor to observe and deal with it. Usually common causes: 1. After varicocele surgery, excessive activity may result in varicocele again, and scrotal enlargement may occur when it is stagnant; or it may be seen when the surgical ligation is incomplete and the blood vessels are varicose again after premature activity, and scrotal enlargement may occur. 2. After surgery, exudate from the incision in the groin area flows downward into the scrotum, and scrotal enlargement may occur. At this time, the blood vessels in the scrotum cannot be palpated by touching the scrotum, but liquid or cystic material can be palpated, and further ultrasound examination can be performed to understand whether there is blood or fluid accumulation in the scrotum. Usually the edema can gradually subside by lying in bed for 3 days with the scrotum propped up and padded. However, if the amount of edema or fluid accumulation is high, puncture and fluid extraction is necessary to reduce scrotal edema. 3. Post-surgical infection may also occur, resulting in scrotal enlargement or pain, but usually infection may appear as an increase in body temperature and redness and swelling of the scrotal skin. Patients may experience pain during activity, and the chance of infection is relatively low, commonly in patients with low immunity, but the possibility of infection cannot be ruled out, and it is recommended to be treated after observation by a competent doctor.
