What’s a vulva?

The vulva refers to the female internal genitalia, including the vagina, uterus, fallopian tubes and ovaries.
1. Vagina: the length of the anterior wall is about 7~9 centimeters, and the length of the posterior wall is 10~12 centimeters, which is adjacent to the bladder in front and the rectum in the back. It is the organ of sexual intercourse and the channel for the discharge of menstrual blood and the delivery of the fetus.
2. Uterus: the uterus is located in the pelvic cavity, is a cavity organ, about 7-8 cm long, 4-5 cm wide, 2-3 cm thick, divided into the cervix and the uterine body two parts. It is the organ that nurtures the fetus and produces menstruation.
3. Fallopian tube: a slender and curved muscular tube, connected with the uterine horns on the inner side and free umbrella-like on the outer side, one on each side. It is the place where the ovum and the sperm combine and the channel for transporting the fertilized egg.
4. Ovaries: a pair of flat oval gonads, measuring about 4cm*3cm*1cm and weighing 5-6 grams. It is the sex organ that produces and discharges eggs and secretes hormones.
