Appendicitis pain

Appendicular pain is usually caused by irritation of the peritoneum in the appendix region, mostly due to local inflammatory reactions that stimulate the peritoneal tissue and cause painful sensations. In general, the main causes of appendiceal pain are inflammation and tumor.1. Inflammation: The physiological anatomical characteristics of the appendix make it prone to lumen blockage or necrosis of the appendix due to termination of local blood supply, which in turn leads to bacterial infection and appendicitis. Overeating, unclean diet, fecal stones, and roundworms are predisposing factors for appendiceal lumen blockage. Appendicitis mainly manifests as metastatic right lower abdominal pain or persistent severe abdominal pain, which may be accompanied by nausea, vomiting, fever, malaise, chills and other uncomfortable symptoms. In severe cases, appendix perforation and necrosis may occur, and diffuse peritonitis or toxic shock may occur, which may be accompanied by pale face, rapid pulse, shortness of breath, and change in body temperature. For the appendix pain caused by appendicitis, the clinical first choice is surgery to remove the lesion; 2. Tumor: benign and malignant tumors of the appendix, such as appendiceal cystic adenoma, appendiceal carcinoid tumor, appendiceal adenocarcinoma and so on. When the tumor grows to a certain extent, it will cause painful expansion of the plasma membrane layer, which also manifests as appendiceal pain and is consistent with the symptoms of appendicitis, but is usually not accompanied by congestion, ulceration and necrotic changes of the mucosa and submucosa. Clinical treatment is often a combination of drugs, physics and surgery, with surgical excision being the preferred treatment and chemotherapy being judged according to the condition. The above are the common causes of appendix pain. It is recommended to pay attention to good dietary habits and avoid overeating. The symptoms of appendicular pain should go to the hospital as soon as possible to do the relevant examination to clarify the cause and carry out targeted treatment.
