What should I do if I can’t poop halfway?

Common causes of half pooped stool are drinking too little water, anal fissure and rectal cancer. If you can’t poop half of the stool, you should choose the appropriate improvement measures according to the cause, such as drinking water in small amount, taking liquid paraffin orally, and surgical treatment. 1. Drinking too little water: If the patient usually drinks less water, it may cause dry feces. The dried feces will not easily pass through the anus, which will make the patient have the symptom of not being able to pull out half of the poop. Therefore, the patient can drink a small amount of water many times to make the feces absorb water and become soft and easy to be discharged, so as to improve the symptoms of the patient’s half-pulled feces. 2. Anal fissure: If the patient has anal fissure, when the patient defecates, due to the fissure lesion nerve endings are stimulated by feces, it will make the patient feel burning pain in the anal canal. Therefore, the patient will be reluctant to defecate because of the fear of pain, thus appearing the symptom of pulling half of the stool out. Liquid paraffin can be taken orally to lubricate the intestinal tract, which is conducive to the discharge of feces and alleviate the symptom of half-pulled stool. 3. Rectal cancer: If the epithelial cells of the rectum have undergone malignant changes, the anal opening becomes narrow, which leads to the symptom of half-drawn stool. Local excision can be performed to remove the cancerous tumor, so as to alleviate the symptom of half-pooped stool. If the patient has the symptom of half poop, he/she should go to the hospital in time, complete the relevant examination to clarify the cause of the disease, and follow the doctor’s instruction to carry out the treatment.
