Can ebVirus-induced hepatosplenomegaly heal on its own?

Diseases caused by EBV are usually acute and self-limiting, and therefore hepatosplenomegaly caused by the disease usually resolves spontaneously. EBV is a contagious pathogen causing mononucleosis, which is mainly transmitted through droplets or saliva, and is closely related to the occurrence of a variety of diseases, such as nasopharyngeal carcinoma and childhood lymphoma. Patients infected with EBV generally have mild symptoms, and will get better without realizing it. Liver and spleen enlargement will also recover on their own, and a few patients will have fever, cough and other symptoms. If EBV causes more serious complications, antiviral treatment will also be needed. A few patients may also cause chronic hepatitis, and after recovery, patients should actively exercise to improve their immunity.
