What causes shoulder joints to click?

The causes of shoulder joint clicking include physiological factors and pathologic factors. Physiological factors include strenuous exercise, etc. Pathological factors include trauma to the shoulder joint, frozen shoulder, etc. The causes should be identified in time.
1. Physiological factors: if the shoulder joint is more strenuous, the pressure inside and outside the joint cavity will also change drastically, resulting in clicking of the shoulder joint.
2. Trauma to the shoulder joint: If there is trauma to the shoulder joint, the internal part of the joint may be damaged, such as damage to the glenoid labrum or muscle and tendon strains, etc., and the joint activities may show symptoms of clicking.
3. Frozen shoulder: If there is frozen shoulder, the fibrous connective tissue proliferates during the inflammation repair period, and adhesion may occur locally. Meanwhile, inflammation stimulates soft tissues such as tendon ligament to hyperplasia, and the friction between the normal tissues and hyperplasia increases when the shoulder moves, which leads to clicking of the shoulder joint.
Other causes such as osteoarthritis of the shoulder joint can also cause shoulder joint clicking. If shoulder joint clicking occurs, it is recommended that the patient consult a doctor in a timely manner, complete the examination and carry out targeted treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
