The sensations of a concussion are mainly transient disorders of consciousness, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, and possibly anxiety and insomnia following the injury. Concussion is the mildest form of neurosurgical head injury, but for concussion patients early on, do not let down your guard, because early concussion head CT may be negative, that is, no abnormal findings. For concussed patients, rest is needed in the early stage and the head CT needs to be reviewed because there is a possibility of delayed intracranial hemorrhage in concussed patients, and it takes at least 72 hours for the head to stabilize completely. If the head condition, such as nausea, vomiting and headache, worsens within 72 hours, CT head examination is also needed to exclude delayed intracranial hemorrhage.
