Mild concussion can heal in a few days

Concussions, also known as transient loss of consciousness, generally return to normal with about 1 week of rest for a mild concussion. Although a mild concussion does not result in parenchymal brain lesions, loss of consciousness can occur within minutes, with symptoms such as amnesia of near events and headache, nausea and vomiting occurring later. At this point, no special treatment is needed, just resting flat on your back and reducing your activities, and you can usually recover gradually after 1 week. If you still feel headache, nausea, vomiting, anorexia, insomnia, lack of concentration and unresponsiveness after more than 1 week, you need to go to the hospital for further examination to determine if there are other abnormalities. In addition, patients may take some sedative and calming and brain cell nourishing medications to relieve mild concussion symptoms.
