What is cervical engorgement?

Cervical congestion is usually caused by acute and chronic cervicitis, pre-cancerous lesions of the cervix and cervical cancer. Cervical congestion is a phenomenon in which the doctor, during gynecological examination, opens the vagina with a speculum and sees abundant capillaries on the surface of the cervix, bright red in color, easy to bleed when touched, and thickening of the cervix. Most often seen in acute and chronic cervicitis, cervical precancerous lesions, cervical cancer, etc. Need to go to the hospital for routine tests of the leukorrhea, HPV examination, TCT examination, and if necessary, need to do a biopsy of suspicious tissue of the cervix, in order to identify whether it is cervicitis, or pre-cancerous lesions of the cervix or cervical cancer. Cervical congestion needs to be clearly diagnosed by a doctor who will conduct relevant examinations and formulate an individualized diagnosis and treatment plan to avoid delaying the condition.
