Is a cervical polyp 9x8mm considered large?

Cervical polyps 9x8mm are not considered a large size, but need to be taken seriously by the patient. Intrauterine polyp is a relatively common gynecological disease, belonging to the pathological category of chronic cervicitis. It is usually caused by prolonged inflammatory stimulation of the cervix causing proliferation of the cervical epidermal increase mucosal or squamous epithelial cells. If the polyp is small, there are usually no conscious symptoms when it is under 10mm. If the polyp is large, it may rupture due to external stimuli, causing bleeding and increasing the risk of infection. Cervical polyps should be highly considered if the patient experiences abnormal menstrual flow, lower abdominal pain, irregular vaginal bleeding or contact bleeding. Patients with intrauterine polyps are advised to seek prompt medical attention and undergo cervical polyp removal surgery if necessary.
