Procedure for checkups from 1 to 40 weeks of pregnancy

Prenatal checkups from 1 to 40 weeks of pregnancy are 11 times, including physical examination, obstetric examination, and necessary auxiliary examinations. 1. 1st examination (6-13⁺⁶ weeks): establish a pregnancy health care booklet, determine the week of pregnancy, project the expected date of delivery, assess the high-risk factors of pregnancy, blood pressure, weight, etc., and carry out the blood routine, urine routine, blood type, fasting blood glucose, liver and kidney function, hepatitis B, syphilis, HIV, and ultrasound examination. 2. 2nd examination (14-19⁺⁶ weeks): non-invasive prenatal testing, mid-trimester serologic screening, amniocentesis and other tests for fetal chromosomes are recommended. 3. 3rd examination (20-24 weeks): fetal systematic ultrasound screening, blood and urine routine, vaginal ultrasound measurement of cervical length is recommended for pregnant women with a previous history of preterm labor, mid-pregnancy spontaneous abortion, twin pregnancies, and other women at high risk of preterm labor. 4. 4th examination (25-28 weeks): screening for gestational diabetes mellitus, routine blood test, routine urine test. 5. 5th visit (29-32 weeks): Obstetric ultrasound, blood and urine tests, and fetal movement. 6. 6th examination (33-36 weeks): urine routine, recommended screening for group B streptococcus, liver function, serum bile acid test, NST (non-stimulated fetal heartbeat monitoring) examination, prevention of depression. 7. 7th-11th (37-41 weeks): Obstetric ultrasound examination, NST examination (once a week), evaluation of delivery mode, instruction on delivery knowledge, newborn immunization, and monitoring of intrauterine conditions. In case of abnormalities in prenatal checkups, active diagnosis and treatment are required.
