Examination of purulent auricular chondromyelitis reveals redness and swelling of the auricle. Auricular chondromalacia can be classified as either plasmacytic or purulent. The lesions are either serous exudate (plasmacytic) or pus formation (purulent) between the cartilage and the perichondrium. Plasmacytic chondromyelitis, also known as auricular pseudocyst, is an aseptic inflammatory reaction of the cartilage membrane of unknown etiology and may be related to mechanical stimulation by repeated minor trauma such as pressure and touch. Septic chondromalacia is an acute purulent inflammation of the auricular cartilage membrane and cartilage, often due to trauma, surgery, frostbite, burns, and secondary infection of the auricular hematoma. It can cause cartilage necrosis leading to auricular deformity and should be treated seriously. After trauma to the auricle, it must be cleaned up in time to prevent infection, and acupuncture or ear acupuncture treatment must be strictly disinfected. Pay attention to hygiene when you are not sick, especially in children. Anyone with purulent otitis media, ear boils, or infantile eczema should pay extra attention to local cleanliness and dryness, keep the ear and its surroundings clean, and be careful not to pull out the ear indiscriminately. Do not wash the ear with water after an existing disease. If it is soiled or scabbed, rub it with vegetable oil first and then gently wipe it with gauze or sterilized soft paper after it has been loosened. Review and check the treatment at regular intervals. Avoid scratching when itchy. If necessary, soak some salt water and put drops on the itchy area. The concentration should be such that the itch can be stopped. If it is a child, prevent him from scratching and rubbing. During the illness, avoid alcohol, spicy food (such as onion, garlic, leek, chili, pepper, mustard, sherry, ginger, curry), fishy things, freshwater products, seafood. Take baths, haircuts, and body baths, and pay attention to preventing sewage from entering. Before washing hair or swimming, you can block the external ear canal with special rubber plugs or clean cotton balls. Swimming is prohibited after the disease. Avoid all seafood and fresh hair, squash, mustard and shiraz.
