Common causes of shivering in advanced stage of liver cancer include calcium deficiency, nervous system damage, hepatic encephalopathy and so on. 1. Calcium deficiency: patients with advanced stage of liver cancer are often physically weak and lack of nutrition, if the blood calcium level is low, convulsions and shaking may be caused by calcium deficiency. 2. Nervous system damage: if liver cancer has metastasized to spine, or metastasized to bones and pressed nerves, or even metastasized to brain, convulsions and shivering may occur. 3.
